New York, With its reputation for creating new standards in hotel service and amenities, Mandarin Oriental, New York unveils its MO-Luxe package – luxury in hospitality redefined. Designed to indulge the guest who loves to both give and receive, MO-Luxe offers a philanthropic twist to the most personalized of packages. From fashionistas to foodies, spa aficionados to electronics enthusiasts, MO-Luxe is set to impress.

For $50,000, MO-Luxe offers an experience completely tailored to guests’ personal preferences from the moment they arrive in Manhattan’s newest luxury property. In residence for two nights in the hotel’s highly publicized, ultra luxurious Presidential Suite, guests will have private consultations with fashion designer, Vivienne Tam (or at the Hugo Boss store at Time Warner Center if the fashion component is of interest to him), Asiate’s Chef de Cuisine, Noriyuki Sugie and award-winning sommelier, Annie Turso. MO-Luxe also includes a shopping spree at the BOSE® retail store located in the Time Warner Center and a half day at The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, New York and, as a final feel good conclusion, Mandarin Oriental will pledge a $10,000 donation to the charitable organization of their guests’ choice.

MO-Luxe includes two nights accommodation in the 2,640 square-foot Presidential Suite, located 456 feet above Columbus Circle. The suite has sweeping views of Central Park, the Hudson River and the Manhattan skyline. The interior décor features Mozambique wood paneling, golden onyx, velvet upholstery and Oriental antiques. The two-bedroom suite includes a formal dining and living area and also a state-of-the-art media room and library.

To complement these stately surroundings, Chinese-born fashion designer Vivienne Tam will consult with the guest to create a one-of-a-kind gown (an alternative for ‘him’ can be created by the luxury suit maker Hugo Boss). Tam’s East meets West approach is in perfect synergy with Mandarin Oriental’s philosophy. Her high style yet harmonious pieces have been featured in the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

In the area of gastronomy, up and coming Chef Noriyuki Sugie will devote his talents to the creation of a memorable dinner for the MO-Luxe hosts and six of their guests. After meticulous preparation of the menu specially designed in consultation with the evening’s hosts, Chef Sugie will put the final touches on his creations in the kitchen of the Presidential Suite. Sommelier, Annie Turso, winner for “Best New Wine List” for Asiate (Food & Wine, July 2004), will personally advise on wines and other accompaniments to further delight the palette.

Electronic enthusiasts with a penchant for home entertainment will receive a $5000 gift certificate for the new BOSE® retail store located in the Time Warner Center. The store features the complete line of world-renowned speakers, home entertainment systems and headphones. MO-Luxe guests will have the opportunity to bring the same BOSE® surround sound experience that they have in the Presidential Suite into their own homes.

After the fashion fitting, BOSE® shopping spree and delectable dining, MO-Luxe guests are invited to the luxurious Spa at Mandarin Oriental, New York for a half day of relaxation and rejuvenation. The first of its kind in New York City, the 650 square-foot VIP Spa Suite replicates a sumptuous Oriental-style home with stunning views, dual massage beds, a fireplace, a soaking tub and a special kang bed used for shiatsu and Thai massages. Amidst these tranquil surroundings, guests will be treated to a fully customized two-hour Time Ritual followed by a specially-prepared bento box set lunch for two.

In seeking to delight both its guests and its community, Mandarin Oriental, New York presents MO-Luxe – a unique stay package which offers guests the opportunity to define their own personal sense of privilege in both giving and receiving.
