Cory Hagopian

Toronto, October 20, 2005 - Stephen Blyth, executive director, travel industry sales, is pleased to announce the appointment of Cory Hagopian, director global sales, retail travel. Upon joining the global sales team, Hagopian will be responsible for developing and executing a sales and distribution plan for travel agents to all Fairmont hotels and resorts.

He began his career with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in 1995 and held various sales positions at several properties including The Fairmont Royal York, Fairmont Le Manior Richelieu, The Plaza and, most recently, The Fairmont Copley Plaza, Boston. Hagopian brings a wealth of experience to the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts sales force and is an integral part of their continued success.

Hagopian will also assist in the re-launch of Fairmont FAmous () - a fully-accredited education program as of January 2006 -which rewards agents with both professional and personal benefits and booking credits redeemable for complimentary travel experiences. Recently, Fairmont liaised with the travel professional community to seek feedback as the company felt it was important the program evolves in order to continually reflect the needs of their partners.

Hagopian attended McMaster University, in Hamilton, Ontario, where he earned a bachelor of commerce degree with a major in marketing.
