The following hotel search enhancements launched today on Kayak.com:

Hotel Home Page

• Users can now pre-filter results from the hotel homepage. Dropdown menus have been added for hotel brands and price range.
• A brand dropdown menu displays only hotel brands found within the specified market.

Hotel Results Page

• A custom location link allows users to search hotels by proximity to a specific address such as a client's office or a relative's house. Feature is currently limited to US addresses.
• Further integration with popular Google Map feature plots all hotel results on an interactive map. Map instantly refreshes as users interact with the sorting and filtering tools for price, stars, location, brand, amenities and property type. For instance, filter hotels within five miles of a landmark or a custom location and map will refresh to display only hotels within five miles.
• Additional information for each individual property has been added for quick reference such as address, amenities and list of travel sites offering the hotel/price combination.

Hotel Details Page

• Booking details have been moved to the top of the page to better communicate the number of booking options for each property (supplier direct or through an online travel agency).
• The details page has been organized into tabs for Overview, Details, Map, and Photos.

Kayak.com Surpasses 115,000 hotels:

Kayak.com now offers the online travel industry's most comprehensive hotel database with more than 115,000 properties worldwide -- from a power brand hotel in Times Square to a hostel in Thailand. Since launching the "Every Hotel on Earth" commitment in October, Kayak.com has added more than 25,000 properties thanks to recent partnerships with booking engine providers Pegasus Solutions and Otedis and new supplier agreements with HostelWorld.com, Asiarooms.com and WRH Hotels Network. In addition, the EHOE program encourages users and hoteliers to add hotels directly to Kayak.com's database and more than 5,200 properties have been added as a result.
