HFTP Fellowship Established at the University of Houston’s Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management

AUSTIN, TX | Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) has pledged to support an HFTP Fellow at the University of Houston’s Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management. The fellow will be awarded to the director of the HFTP Research Institute at the University of Houston, which was established in January 2000. The current director is Tanya Venegas, MBA, MHM, who has worked at the research institute since its inception.

"This fellowship aligns with HFTP's dedication to hospitality education," said HFTP Vice President Anna McFarland, CPA, CFE, CHAE, CHTP; senior director of finance for Accor North America - Business & Leisure Hotels. "This endowment will help establish the permanency of the HFTP Research Institute and help it continue to conduct important industry research."

The creation of this fellowship allows HFTP to partake in a dollar-per-dollar matching program available from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation. The endowment will support the HFTP Research Institute which serves as a popular HFTP member benefit. The institute offers free routine research to HFTP members. In addition, it conducts specialty research for HFTP, including important club industry research, a bi-annual compensation and benefits survey, and regular benchmark surveys.
