AH&LA Honors Lodging Industry Volunteers

Nashville, Tenn. | The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) announced the winners of the 2007 Most Valuable Volunteer Awards at the AH&LA Stars of the Industry Awards luncheon at The Loews Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville, Tenn. The award was created in 1998 to honor the many volunteers who help strengthen both AH&LA and their partner state associations.

“Each award recipient has timelessly contributed to the work of their state organization and ultimately to the success of the hotel industry,” said AH&LA President and CEO Joseph A. McInerney, CHA. “This award is our way to acknowledge the great work the volunteers do, and to give them a well-deserved thank you.”

The award was presented to the following:


Serving the hospitality industry for nearly a century, AH&LA is the sole national association representing all sectors and stakeholders in the lodging industry, including individual hotel property members, hotel companies, student and faculty members, and industry suppliers. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., AH&LA provides members with national advocacy on Capitol Hill, public relations and image management, education, research and information, and other value-added services to provide bottom line savings and ensure a positive business climate for the lodging industry.
