ATLANTA, GA | Onity announced today the unveiling of CodePro, a revolutionary new PIN code-based electronic locking system, developed to meet the special needs of the vacation ownership and property management sectors of the hospitality industry. Onity will display the new locking solution at this week’s International Hotel/Motel and Restaurant Show (IH/M&RS), taking place at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City, November 11-13, 2007. CodePro was specially developed by Onity, using feedback from end-users in the vacation ownership and property management industry. The system allows property managers and/or owners to instantly and remotely provide rental clients with access to specific properties for specific periods of time, without the need for a key or keycard. It eliminates the need for a guest to visit a front desk or rental office, providing increased convenience and privacy for the guest. Because the code is software generated, it can be easily sent to users through remote media, such as text messaging or email. Others requiring access to a property, such as housekeeping and maintenance staff can also be given individual remote access codes with separate time restraints, making it easy to manage and track all access to individual units.

The CodePro locking system combines Onity’s proven, reliable electronic locking technology with a unique two-piece modular design and an American with Disabilities Act (ADA) -compliant keypad to grant access to designated users. The locking mechanism is operated with a 7-digit software-generated PIN code that can be changed by the user with his/her personalized code. Some features of the CodePro lock include a robust all-weather design, mechanical key override, and battery-operated.

CodePro is an all-encompassing property access system, combining PIN code access software with a unique two-piece modular electronic lock for guest doors or wall unit modules for common area doors.
