SACRAMENTO, Calif. | The California Hotel & Lodging Association (CH&LA) inducted Jack Campbell, President and Chief Executive Officer of Campbell Lodging, Inc. into the CH&LA Hall of Fame tonight in Sacramento at the Sheraton Grand Hotel. The Hall of Fame award is CH&LA’s most prestigious honor, presented to California hoteliers or industry executives recognized for outstanding contributions of leadership, service, and professionalism to the California lodging industry and the community at large.
Jack Campbell was the 21st recipient of the CH&LA Hall of Fame award. As President & Chief Executive Officer of Campbell Lodging, Inc., with 19 properties in seven states, Jack was honored for his devotion of time and talent in strengthening the lodging industry. And the California Hotel & Lodging Association can never thank Campbell enough for all of the time and effort he has devoted to making us successful - as the Audit Committee Chairperson and a member of CH&LA’s Board of Directors for over 15 years, Campbell also serves on the Executive Committee of CH&LA. Campbell has been instrumental in the stewardship and oversight of CH&LA’s Educational Foundation investments, in addition to CH&LA’s employee retirement plan.
Jack Campbell has a long history of volunteer activity including past president and current treasurer for the California Highway Patrol 11-99 Foundation, which provides emergency financial assistance to employees and families of the Highway Patrol. In addition, Campbell volunteers as past chairperson and treasurer for the Downey Regional Medical Center and its Memorial Trust Foundation, as well as for the Downey Police and Fire Foundation.
This year’s Hall of Fame event was presented by USA Today, with major sponsorship funding provided by HRH Insurance Services of California, CH&LA’s endorsed insurance provider. Additional sponsorships from the State Employee Hotel Directory and the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Sacramento. A very successful silent auction of items donated by CH&LA members, all benefited the CH&LA Political Action Committee, CHALPAC.
“Jack’s talents and hard work have enabled him to succeed and give to others at a level that the rest of us can only admire," said James O. Abrams, President & CEO of CH&LA. “It’s an honor to induct such an exemplary lodging industry professional into the CH&LA Hall of Fame.”
