PSAV's 'All Access Pass' HSIA Application Introduced at HITEC
|

By offering a highly flexible configuration, PSAV simplifies options for universal log-in across meeting rooms, guestrooms, and public spaces while preserving critical meeting room revenue; PSAV’s smarter HSIA also allows segmenting and prioritizing high-speed Internet for meeting room applications, ensuring sufficient bandwidth for all groups
If you think all High-Speed Internet Access solutions are the same, think again. Today PSAV® Presentation Services, the leading supplier of audiovisual, event and entertainment technologies to hotels, associations, producers and meeting planners worldwide, unveils a new broadband solution that moves high-speed Internet services beyond the meeting room throughout the entire property. In addition to segmenting and prioritizing bandwidth for meeting room applications, PSAV is now able to sell integrated platforms for HSIA so meeting attendees can receive access in their guestrooms, public spaces and meeting room without multiple log-in IDs.
PSAV's "All Access Pass" solution, enabled by its Meeting Room Manager product, is on display at the Hospitality Industry Exposition & Conference (HITEC) at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Booth No. 1159.
"Our approach accomplishes two main goals for event planners," said Brian Lagestee, PSAV SVP of Technology & Development. "First, the solution ensures that there is sufficient bandwidth allocated to meeting rooms for events that require it while not drawing bandwidth away from other areas of the hotel for non-event guests. Second, it gives the property the flexibility to expand group access to the Internet for either guestrooms or public spaces. PSAV can provide access codes to the group that recognizes their participants throughout the property. The hotel can work with the event planner to provide group access or offer a more traditional separation of group access and room access. The key is flexibility, and it supports the unique financial arrangements required by each individual group.
"Through All Access Pass, event planners have options for better control over billable expenses because charges for event participants' online access can be allocated to the master folio, rather than requiring attendees to file individual expense reports to recoup HSIA fees after the conference is over," he said. "This is just another instance in which PSAV has listened to its customers' requests and provided a seamless technology that supports their needs for a flawless meeting."
The Meeting Room Manager solution is one of the newest technologies to be deployed by PSAV. Also to be unveiled at HITEC is a new Touch Concierge product as part of its Digital Signage line-up of event technologies, and a new distribution partnership with DirecTV that includes 3D video content (see separate releases) will be announced.
"PSAV combines an unbeatable breadth of technology and expertise right on staff, with concepts and ideas that can make any meeting more engaging, more memorable and more successful," Lagestee said. "Many of our competitors outsource anything beyond basic AV. Because we have internal expertise, we can offer more service and more know-how more quickly. We’ll take care of an event message before, during, and after the meeting to make sure it lasts well beyond the meeting itself."
