How to Optimize QR Codes for Hotels
When used correctly, QR codes are an innovative way to enhance your customer experiences. But what are they, how do they work, and what are some good ideas to get you started?

What are QR codes?
Simply put, QR (Quick Response) codes are two-dimensional barcodes. These barcodes are arranged in a square, and comprised of black data on a white background. QR codes have a few advantages over traditional bar codes:
- Can be read very quickly by a variety of devices
- Can store large amounts of data in a small code
- The encoded information can store many different types of data
- Up to 30% of the data can be corrupted while leaving the code readable (i.e. you can take a significant amount of artistic license with your code and still have it function)
