November 11 is much more than just a day for many. It is a day to remember the fallen and welcome back the brave. It is a day that is so much more than a wreath-laying at the Tomb of the Unknowns or a parade and remarks from dignitaries. Veterans Day is an emotional experience for anyone with ties to a member of the United States Armed Forces, but for Dennis P. Rizzo, a Vietnam veteran and CEO of Bentley Price Associates, Inc., a hospitality executive search firm with over 35 years of success in the industry, it has even more significance.

Rizzo served in the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam from 1966 to 1968 and this year has decided to do something to assist our returning men and women, and to honor and thank all who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

"I remember the first Veterans Day after I returned from Vietnam. There were no parades when we returned; none of us were looking for it, anyway. We were just happy to be home and proud to be American. I hold my head high, as should every veteran in every branch of the US Armed Forces."

With troops returning from overseas to an economy already stretched to the limit and unemployment at an all-time high for veterans trying to re-enter the civilian workforce, this Veterans Day gave him pause for thought. Rizzo decided to put his 35 years in the executive hospitality field to work to help returning veterans find jobs with Hospitality Heroes.

Hospitality Heroes is a new program that aims to match all branches of the hospitality industry, including hotels, casinos, and restaurants with qualified veterans, hoping to place as many as possible. Rizzo has already managed to garner the support of the likes of Felix D. Rappaport, Pres/COO for Mirage, and Craig Cavileer, President of Silverton, both of whom stated they would very happily try to contribute to helping to hire returning vets; as would John Culetsu, General Manager for Mount Airy Casino Resort in the Poconos. Bentley Price Associates Inc. is now also adding placements in high-end assisted living care properties to the array of opportunities unfolding for the vets on this Veterans Day.

"I'm still proud to be an American, still proud to have served in the Marine Corps, and now I'm proud to have the opportunity to support our returning veterans," said Rizzo.

Hospitality Heroes plans to be at the forefront of helping to honor our returning veterans by offering new beginnings and employment opportunities in the hospitality industry.
