The point-of-sale module within the Indra Travel Management Suite for Hotels is proving to be so robust, streamlined and efficient that it has been selected by RCD Resorts for its All Inclusive Collection in Mexico and the Dominican Republic. Running on the universal SAP platform, Indra's "TMS for POS" module has recently been rolled out at the Hard Rock Hotel Cancun, Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana and Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya.

"Indra is dramatically changing the technology landscape, not just by giving hotels an alternative holistic, all-in-one solution for hotel chain management, but by developing modules so comprehensive that they stand on their own and stand head-and-shoulders above their competition," said Antonio Alonso, corporate finance director of RCD Resorts. "When we decided to upgrade our restaurant and retail systems in this region, we found Indra to be the best partner to deliver the solution. What impressed us the most was Indra's willingness and capability to fully integrate their POS solution with our existing PMS, back-office and loyalty systems. TMS for POS is a globally-integrated solution covering all our POS needs, from select restaurants and roomservice to retail outlets. TMS for POS is hotel chain oriented, centralized and gives us access to real-time data immediately and anywhere.

"When we began our quest for a new POS solution, we wanted a partner who was willing to work within our existing eco-system; Indra has that capability and willingness," he said. "They came in, listened to our specific needs, drafted a plan that included loyalty integration, and then delivered on-time, making sure we had all the onsite support we needed for a smooth transition."

Loyalty Rewarded

Today, the All Inclusive Collection deployment ties select POS systems, including Rock shops and golf course pro shops, and integrates with the loyalty system and back-office financials. Eventually all company point-of-sale stations, including restaurants, will be integrated. A key differentiator of TMS for POS is its integration flexibility. At the All Inclusive Collection, guests who are members of the Hard Rock International loyalty program are given a card that can be used for services at the Rock shops. Each time services are purchased with the card, points are immediately updated in the corporate loyalty system.

Connie Rheams, Indra senior vice president, said few hospitality POS solutions on the market are as feature-rich and all-encompassing as TMS for POS. When Indra's integration development expertise is tied to its wealth of knowledge and development resources, hoteliers get a solution like no other; it can be dropped into a hotel's existing technology infrastructure with full integration to all peripheral solutions.

"We could not be more pleased that RCD Resorts has selected Indra's TMS for POS for these high profile All Inclusive Collection hotels," Rheams said. "Our integration expertise is what sets us apart from all other vendors in the hospitality market. For the All Inclusive Collection, we are enabling RCD Resorts to craft unique programs that drive ongoing loyalty, revenues and brand awareness."

The Indra TMS for POS is currently installed in more than 450 locations with multiple food and retail outlets. Global hotel companies Ginger Hotels, Mahindra Holiday, Hoteles Catalonia, and MedPlaya Hotels each use the Indra TMS for POS solution. Retail giant Camper stores also rely on TMS for POS for more than 300 outlets across the globe.
