After a year of collaboration with the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) in the area of Guest Intelligence analytics, ReviewPro has joined the Organization as an Affiliate Member.

Previously contributing to research such as the Online Guest Reviews and Hotel Classification Systems Reports, ReviewPro will continue to work with UNWTO on issues related to innovation, tourism and destination management.

In addition to providing more than 19,000 hotels worldwide with Guest Intelligence solutions, ReviewPro also provides DMO's, Star Rating Associations and tourism organizations with powerful visitor analytics to prioritize improvement opportunities, optimize destination marketing campaigns and improve competitiveness.

RJ Friedlander, CEO of ReviewPro said, "We are thrilled to join UNWTO and participate in their mission to change and evolve the tourism sector by enabling better service through our listening technology. We give tourism destination managers the opportunity to obtain visitor insights and Guest Intelligence from the social web and online review sites in order to benchmark guest satisfaction levels against other destinations."

Earlier this year, Star Ratings Australia became one of the first independent accommodation classification schemes in the world to incorporate a consumer 'voice' on a nationwide scale. General Manager Damien Hanger remarked "This is an unparalleled model which integrates guest reviews and helps more than 4,500 properties manage their online reputation. Being an Affiliate Member of UNWTO will help maximize the impact of guest intelligence solutions on tourism innovation worldwide."

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), a United Nations specialized agency, is the leading international organization with the decisive and central role in promoting the development of responsible, sustainable and universally accessible tourism. It serves as a global forum for tourism policy issues and a practical source of tourism know-how, and counts 158 countries as members.

"The emergence of online consumer reviews has revolutionized the travel decision-making process as travelers increasingly look to these to make better informed purchase decisions," noted Yolanda Perdomo, Director of UNWTO's Affiliate Members Programme. "We are very pleased to welcome ReviewPro as Affiliate Members and we trust that together we can help destinations and tourism managers around the world better understand and serve their visitors."
