An oasis of peace in the centre of the authentic Bastille district, and close to the Marais, Hotel Paris Bastille Boutet is the first 5-star hotel in eastern Paris. Located at 22-24, rue Faidherbe, the hotel opened in December 2015, offering an experience rich in emotions and discoveries at the very heart of the lively 11th arrondissement.

This exceptional 5-star hotel is housed in a building that was formerly a joinery workshop and then a chocolate factory, known as "Maison Boutet". Architect Vincent Bastie and designer Astrid Dieterlen have created a key address for those in the know, conceived as an elegant jumping-off point for a Parisian escapade, and a haven of calm in this district known for its energy and life. Astrid Dieterlen's creative process was driven by "reconciling the history and spirit of a place to the needs of our times". Vincent Bastie meanwhile aimed to "extend the history of the interior by creating a key feature: the monumental staircase". The resulting designs reinterpret the codes of the hotel industry, mixing art deco and industrial chic.

In order to protect the authenticity and spirit of the building, special emphasis was placed on the renovation of mosaics and the art deco canopy. The building's façade, dating back to 1926, has been restored to its former glory. Its industrial heritage spreads into the farthest recesses of the hotel, from the lobby bar, with its leather sofas, to the well-being area, with its white and blue glazed tiles. The hotel offers everyone a charming setting to enjoy its famous old-style hot chocolate, a nod to its past as a chocolate factory.

Beautiful and spacious planted roof gardens provide exceptional views over the Parisian roofscape, whilst the intimate atmosphere makes this a unique hotel with very strong roots in our century. Tucked away on one of Paris' oldest streets, the hotel reveals all of these facets as it welcomes pleasure-seeking travellers, business clients and local residents as they pop in for a drink at the bar.

The hotel has 80 rooms and suites, 10 of them with balconies, on its 6 floors. In homage to its past as a place of craftsmanship, students from the Ecole Boulle were engaged to produce two signature suites, each with its own special atmosphere: the Ebony Suite plays with the theme of sensuality, with the juxtaposition of dark wood and velvet, whilst the Teak Suite reveals itself as a series of boxes defining the living spaces and creating a most unusual cocoon.

At the heart of the hotel, the 150m² well-being space, drenched in light, will be dedicated to meditation and relaxation. This is the ideal place to recharge one's batteries, thanks to an indoor pool with resistance jets, a steam room, sauna and two luminotherapy showers. The well-being menu includes stand-out items such as the signature invigorating cocoa oil treatment, with its antioxidant effects, and the massages and scrubs from the prestigious aromatherapy specialist Décléor.
