Bowling, Kentucky -- Best Western® Hotels & Resorts announces the opening of the Best Western Bowling Green, located at 1940 Mel Browning Street in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Owned by Zen Hospitality, Inc., the hotel features 96 guest rooms, including one suite.
The property underwent a $5 million renovation project before putting its new Best Western sign on the door, and is pleased to unveil its exceptional hotel offering to guests. The hotel will be celebrating its grand opening with a special ribbon cutting event on September 1, 2016, and community members are invited to join the festivities.
The property showcases a sleek new design with its modern amenities and aesthetically pleasing décor. Additionally, the hotel offers free high speed Internet, a 24-hour fitness center, an outdoor pool, a guest laundry room and full complimentary hot breakfast, which is served in the updated and spacious breakfast area complete with community tables that include plenty of charging stations and Ethernet connections. The hotel also features car washing stations and car charging stations to accommodate guests traveling on the road. Each room is equipped with a 40-inch flat screen TV, a mini-refrigerator, microwave and free Internet access. For business travelers, a business center is centrally located in the lobby and includes printing and faxing capabilities to meet guests' connectivity needs.
"Best Western Hotels & Resorts is proud to welcome the Best Western Bowling Green to our brand," said Vice President of Owner Relations for Best Western, Michael Morton. "This property gives guests a quality lodging option when traveling to Bowling Green, Kentucky."
When visiting the Best Western Bowling Green, guests will also notice a new look in the property's Best Western signage, which is a result of Best Western's recent brand and logo refresh to demonstrate the company's commitment to the future of travel. Last September, Best Western introduced an updated master brand name, Best Western Hotels & Resorts, and unique logos for all seven distinct brands in its portfolio. Many Best Western properties throughout the U.S. and Canada will be showing off this new look this summer.
The Best Western Bowling Green is the first Best Western branded hotel in Kentucky to install the newly branded signs.
The Best Western hotel logo utilizes the hand drawn lettering, which is familiar and personable, and pulls through the company's updated blue color. The centerpiece globe comes to life through the use of special effects such as gradient, highlighting and a 3-D treatment.
In addition to enjoying a comfortable stay at the Best Western Bowling Green, guests can also enjoy nearby attractions that are iconic to Kentucky and to American culture. As the home of the Corvette, guests are within a short distance to the National Corvette Museum, the General Motors Bowling Green Assembly plant, the Motorsports Park and Beech Bend Park Raceway. Aside from Bowling Green's love for cars, the city also offers a special and unique experience for guests with its charming countryside, arts and entertainment options, and its array of biking and walking paths. Guests can also explore the hidden wonders nearby such as the Lost River Cave and the Mammoth Cave, which is the world's longest-known cave system.
