The signing of the management agreement with Nairobi based China Zhong Tian Investment Limited, took place on Sunday the 9th of October 2016. With Swiss International Lenana Nairobi, this global chain further builds its presence on the African Continent, with a second hotel to open in East Africa's robustly growing country of Kenya.

The newly built, Swiss International Lenana hotel is an upscale hotel with 133 rooms and suites located on Ralph Bunche Road, which is known for its close proximity to the Central Business District (CBD), a number of government offices and embassies. The hotel is strategically situated overlooking the city center of Nairobi and next to the Department of Defense which is encompassed by the Kenyan army and police making it a safe and secure area.

 Rainwater purification systems and solar panels are laid on the roof tops to help save water and electricity, thereby reducing the operation costs.

 The use of fresh air circulation system instead of the traditional cycle of air conditioning system. The see-through duct design within the building ensures horizontal and vertical airflow throughout the hotel maximizing the fresh outdoor air intake.  Implementation of 100 % LED lighting equipment allows saving energy.

 The use of environmental friendly toilets that consumes 30% less water than the traditional toilets.

 Uses of high voltage decomposition fume exhaust helps cutting on air pollution. 98% of polluted air can be handled before it is released to the environment.
