John Q. Hammons Hotels' Renaissance Dallas-Richardson Hotel
For the Second Consecutive Year, Property Recognized for Superior Service and First-class Facilities

RICHARDSON (DALLAS), Texas/SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- John Q. Hammons Hotels, Inc. [AMEX: JQH] proudly announces that the Renaissance Dallas-Richardson Hotel recently received a four diamond rating from the American Automotive Association (AAA) for the second year since its opening in June 2001. Located in Richardson, Texas, the luxurious property is owned by Mr. John Q. Hammons and managed by John Q. Hammons Hotels, the nation's leading independent builder, developer, owner and manager of upscale, full-service hotels, resorts and suites.

The four diamond distinction is given to properties that are upscale in all areas with accommodations that are progressively more refined and stylish. Recognized properties also offer an extensive array of amenities and provide a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail. The AAA diamond ratings are assigned to an exclusive group of properties that successfully complete a thorough evaluation process. The ratings, which range from one diamond to the exceptional five diamond, represent a combination of overall quality, range of facilities and level of services offered by a property. The size, age and overall appeal of an establishment, as well as regional architectural style and design are considered when assigning a diamond rating.

"Numerous travelers throughout the world rely on AAA's hotel rankings when making their travel plans. We are honored to receive the distinction of being a four diamond hotel," said Tom Dwyer, general manager of the Renaissance Dallas-Richardson Hotel. "Since the opening of this hotel a year ago, we have strived to create an atmosphere that is exceptional in all areas, from individualized service to first-class amenities. Receiving this rating two years in a row is validation of our efforts and proof of our adherence to our steadfast goal of being an elite and extraordinary property."

The Renaissance Dallas-Richardson Hotel boasts a timeless style, combining a touch of whimsy with a contemporary flair that invites guests to revel in the first-class appointments and exceptional customer service that defines the Renaissance brand. Designed with the signature atrium style of John Q. Hammons Hotels, the unique décor of the 12-story hotel is vibrant, inviting and cutting-edge. The modern-day feel of the property is achieved with eclectic furniture in rich jewel-tone colors, dramatic art glass and expressive sculpture.

The more than 30,000 square feet of functional meeting space, including a 12,400-square-foot ballroom, makes the Renaissance Dallas-Richardson Hotel ideal for a variety of events from lavish weddings and celebrations to corporate meetings and conferences. The hotel's staff caters to a group's specialized needs and provides a full-range of event planning assistance and catering.
