David V. Jones has been named President & CEO at Amadeus IT Group in Madrid, Spain.
David V. Jones has been appointed to take over as President and CEO of Amadeus IT Group, on the retirement of José Antonio Tazón at the end of this year. David’s current position as Executive Vice President, Commercial, will be filled by Philippe Chérèque, currently Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy. The strategic expertise of both David and Philippe has been instrumental in driving the diversification of Amadeus into hospitality IT, and building on the success of what Amadeus has achieved in the airline IT arena.

Bernard Rannou has been appointed Director, Amadeus HBG (Development) at Amadeus Hospitality in Madrid, Spain.
Bernard oversees the development and implementation of IT systems for the hospitality industry. This includes the migration of legacy hotel IT solutions to new open systems and streamlining the Amadeus Hotel IT product portfolio. He is also responsible for integrating best Property & Revenue Management practices into the new Amadeus Hotel Platform. Amadeus Hospitality Development Centres in Paris and Munich, and the Amadeus SAS RMS Operations Centre in Sophia Antipolis, are now regrouped under Bernard's leadership. Bernard joined Amadeus from Optims in 2005 as Head of Revenue Management responsible for the Business Unit and Competency Centre dedicated to revenue management and pricing for the transportation and hospitality industries. He led a team of 40 business developers, consultants and operations engineers based in EMEA, North America and South East Asia.

Kartikeya Tripathi has been appointed Regional Director, Distribution, Amadeus Hospitality Business Group in Asia Pacific at Amadeus Hospitality in Madrid, Spain.
Based in Bangkok, he is responsible for distribution of hotels in the region via the Amadeus Global Distribution System (GDS), focussed on creating direct partnership programmes with hotel providers to enable them to get maximum exposure and volume through the GDS channel. With Amadeus since December 2003, Kartikeya was initially involved in market management for the APAC region, working closely with customers in Australia, Japan, Philippines and India. From there, he moved on to become a head of sales for Amadeus corporate solutions in APAC, dealing directly with corporate end-customers on building IT solutions to facilitate and automate travel management processes.

Bruno des Fontaines has been appointed Managing Director South Europe and Asia at Amadeus Hospitality in Madrid, Spain.
Bruno will oversee HBG activities in both regions, focussing on expansion of hotel distribution and IT business opportunities. Bruno’s key objective is to accelerate HBG growth by ensuring high client satisfaction and development of ambitious projects that can fulfill the hospitality industry’s evolving challenges. Assuming responsibility for South Europe while continuing to oversee Asia Pacific will require a lot of organisation to ensure high results, while maintaining sight of the HBG’s overall strategy. “HBG is at a very exciting stage, gearing up for some very significant product launches,” says Bruno. “I left a very good team in Asia Pacific, and am looking forward to leading the team and growing the business in South Europe.”
