Jack DeBoer is known in the hospitality industry as the “father of extended-stay.” In the 1960s and 1970s, Jack was one of the largest apartment developers in the United States having developed over 16,000 apartments. From there he founded Residence Inn, Summerfield Suites, and Candlewood Suites building over 275 extended-stay hotels across the country. Putting the apartment and hotel experience together for a product that meets the unique needs of both residents and guests, Jack and his team have now started Value Place. At Value Place, we refer to our Franchisees as “Value Partners,” because we truly value the relationship we have with them and recognize the critical role they play in the success of the Value Place brand.
