Overall US Travel visits increased 4% in February 2011 vs. January 2011 | The top visited website was Google Maps receiving 14.66% of all Travel visits. Experian Hitwise US Travel Report for November 2010
Some highlights include: • The top visited website was Google Maps receiving 16.82% of all Travel visits. MapQuest.com was 2nd receiving 7.26% followed by Expedia.com with 3.06% • The top search term was “mapquest” followed by “google maps” and “mapquest driving directions” • The top visited Travel sites in 2010 (Jan-Nov) was Google Maps, MapQuest and Expedia Experian Hitwise is an online measurement company and the data in the report is based on our US sample of 10 million Internet users.

Hitwise Monthly Travel Category Report - June 2010
Traffic Distribution Analysis: 39.62% of all visits to the online 'Travel' industry went to the top 10 websites for the month of June, 2010. 49.08% went to the top 20 websites and 70.14% went to the top 100 websites. Visit Duration Analysis: The average visit duration for visits to the online 'Travel' industry was 7 minutes, 28 seconds for the month of June, 2010. This is a minimal decrease from last months average visit duration of 7 minutes, 29 seconds.
