Tourism, Hotels & Leisure Limited (THL) is a global accommodation management company based in Sydney and listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. It operates five hotel brands: Grand Pacific Suites & Resorts; Pacific International Suites, Apartments & Resorts; Golden Tulip Hotels, Inns & Resorts; Plaza Hotels and Pensione Hotels. The key business assets of THL include proprietary hotel operating systems, intellectual properties, trade marks and management and franchise agreements. Over the last eighteen months, THL has acquired several new hotel brands, and as a result of a strategic partnership this January with the Netherlands-based global hotel operator Golden Tulip, it is also the exclusive development partner for the Golden Tulip brands in the Asia Pacific. The combined THL and Golden Tulip group, with its commercial alliance partners, is now the 11th largest hotel operator in the world. It has more than 534 hotels, in 342 destinations across 47 countries. Fifty-five of these are in the Asia-Pacific region, representing over 4,600 rooms. THL is aiming to expand its brands in the Asia Pacific, and is well placed to take advantage of the growth that is projected in the hospitality sector in the region.
