Paul Ruffino Hotel BPM Brooklyn announced the appointment of Paul Ruffino to the position of general manager at the highly anticipated, musically-inspired property. Overseeing the daily operations of the property is not his only responsibility: Ruffino is charged with the task of developing a team that will uphold the service standards at the 76-room hotel, which will creatively merge the two worlds of music and hospitality to create a guest experience like no other. With a career in hospitality dovetailed with entertainment, Ruffino's career spans more than 30 years. His executive positions at iconic properties such as the Excelsior in Rome, The Park Lane in Manhattan, and The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Coast, CA has made his counsel sought after by leaders in both industries including HBO, Morgans Hotels, Playboy and Wyndham Hotels. Soon after taking the responsibility to spearhead the sales efforts for the highest Luxury Average Daily Rate (ADR) villas in North America, at the Resort at Pelican Hill, his expertise was called upon by the Orange County, California Film Commission to serve as President, a post he occupied for four years while maintaining an influential foothold in luxury hotel operations, sales and marketing. Prior to making the move to Hotel BPM, Ruffino was recruited by Chateau du Sureau, one of only 57 hotels worldwide to boast a Five Star recognition from Forbes, to act as the Hotel Director for the specific purpose of implementing a central reservation system as well as aligning the property with relevant OTC partners such as Trip Advisor, Expedia, Orbitz and Hotels.com.
