Robert L. Jacks Agilysys, Inc. (Nasdaq:AGYS), a leading global provider of next-generation hospitality software solutions and services, today announced that Robert L. (Rob) Jacks has been named vice president of professional services for the company, effective June 1. In his new role, Jacks' primary responsibilities will be to build Agilysys' consulting business and help customers improve operational performance through technology. He will report to Rehan Jaddi, senior vice president of customer support & service solutions. Jacks is an IT industry veteran, with more than two decades of experience. Most recently, he provided leadership and direction on the construction of a 45-acre five-star resort in Costa Rica, where he managed a team of international consultants, architects, attorneys and engineers. Jacks has also served as chief information officer for the Chickasaw Nation Division of Commerce, where he was responsible for leading the corporate technology agenda. In addition, he has held IT leadership positions at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Mandalay Resort Group and USA Mobility. Jacks was selected by Computerworld magazine as a 'Top 100 IT Leader' for 2009 and selected as an 'IBM Champion' in 2011, 2012 and 2013 for his leadership role in IT management for the Chickasaw Nation. In 2011, he received the prestigious Ventana Research Leadership Award, which recognizes individuals who have contributed to technology innovation within their organizations. In addition, Jacks has served on the advisory boards of TribalNet and Gaming & Leisure magazine, and he is actively involved in the University of Oklahoma Center for MIS Studies. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Montevallo and an MBA from Samford University.
