Iconic American hotel brand Howard Johnson debuted on the shores of South Korea"s leading island destination with the opening of Howard Johnson Jeju Seogwipo Harbor. The 241-room oceanfront hotel, the first Howard Johnson in Asia outside of China, is operated under a franchise agreement with local South Korean developer, Windum AMC whose construction capabilities have a growing track record of success across hotel, residential and civil infrastructure projects.

Much loved by honeymooners and holiday makers, Jeju Island is known for its beautiful beaches, waterfalls and its volcanic landscape of craters and lava tubes. Hallasan Mountain, a dormant volcano, features hiking trails and a crater lake at the summit, with Gwaneumsa Temple nearby.

The Howard Johnson brand originated in 1925 and is beloved by generations for memories of road trips, ice cream, and its iconic orange roofline. While the brand"s look and feel has evolved over time, what hasn"t changed is a commitment to helping travellers create smiles and memories that last a lifetime. Today, with nearly 400 Howard Johnson hotels operating in more than a dozen countries, a happy "HoJo" is never far away.
