Influenced by history, landscape, and climate, the architectural language of the Cyclades is a harmonious blend of white cubic houses and cobblestone streets set beneath a blazing bright-blue sky. Few places better capture this pristine beauty and Mykonos" sense of timelessness than Myconian Kyma. Perched atop a hill with glorious views of the Aegean Sea, the 52-room, 29-suite property is a luxurious and secluded retreat, yet only a short stroll from the heart of the island"s thriving nightlife in Mykonos Town.

At Myconian Kyma, one"s internal clock is reset to the rhythm of the day. Here, you awaken to a light-flooded Champagne breakfast with stunning views of the sea and a lavish spread of delights that, like all the food prepared by chef Panagiotis Tsoukatos, consists of only the freshest ingredients from local producers. Next, it"s on to the hotel"s Satori Thalasso spa with five pools offering different therapeutic salinity contents, as well as facial and body treatment rooms that revitalize the spirit while also nurturing the body. Then, with the hotel"s personalized and guiding assistance, you can enjoy a day of city, island, or beach tours; horseback riding; yachting; and much more. Return for dinner at one the top tables on the island, the hotel"s Kalypso Restaurant, a sheltered alcove of rough-hewn stone blanketed by a soothing evening breeze. Taken as whole, Myconian Kyma is a world of sublime experiences, lush gardens, panoramic views, private terraces, and an art-filled environment awash in marble, wood, glass, and natural materials—a truly sophisticated yet family-friendly property.

While the 26-square-meter Aegean Junior Suite, the Nissos Junior Suite, and the 35-square-meter Sunset Junior Suite all boast an outdoor Jacuzzi, the 26-square-meter Horizon Suite and the Mediterranean Junior Suite play host to a private pool and private infinity pool, respectively.

MADE BY ORIGINALSMARIOS & GEORGE DAKTYLIDES

If hotelier Marios Daktylides ever craves inspiration, he need only look to his father George. The head of a large family featuring four sons, the elder Daktylides is also father to a hotel empire on Mykonos, having created some half-dozen luxury properties that have helped to redefine hospitality on the island. "Our father, along with the great support of our mother, Eleftheria, built their success on the back of hard work and meraki, which in Greek means passion, and in 1978 he became one of the first luxury hoteliers here," says Marios. "I grew up in Mykonos and, like my brothers, I attended the world-renowned École Hotelière in Lausanne. There was never a question in my mind that this is what I wanted to do." That last statement is one that visitors to Myconian Kyma can attest to. "I am always there for our guests," explains Marios. "I am aware of every single issue, I always shake their hands and I am at their disposal."
