Located in the arrondissement de Reuilly, on the northeastern bank of the Seine, this newest member of the citizenM family is a must for sightseers, pleasure seekers and business-doers alike.

Some may say three"s a crowd, but we say mais, oui to a third pad in the glittering City of Lights. Joining citizenM Charles de Gaulle and citizenM La Défense, our latest hotel is in the beating heart of one of Paris" most exciting, up and coming districts.

Look forward to 1 August 2017 when citizenM Paris Gare de Lyon flings open its doors to guests. Across our 338 rooms you can expect our signature brand of affordable luxury for the people. (We are, quite fittingly, just 15 minutes" walk from where the French Revolution began). Each room boasts king-size beds, rain showers and mood pads that control the temperature, brightness and colour – yes, colour – of the lights. There"s free movies too.

Outside your cubby hole, the lobby is a home-from-home, filled with books, art, a fireplace and a carpet that recreates the slow ticking clock of the Gare de Lyon station. As with all of our hotels, it"s filled with unique artworks, including the mesmerising installation by Studio Martens & Visser, Reflecting Holons, which transforms the entrance into a magical light and movement show of floating, dancing bubbles. Okay, okay – perhaps not exactly like your own living room.

Need to graft? Our societyM meeting rooms will inspire your next lightbulb moment. Peckish? canteenM offers food and drink, healthy and indulgent, day and night. And when it"s time to wind down with a cocktail (or three), head up to cloudM for panoramas over the city. Looking out over the Seine, soak up views of timeless icons – the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame – new features such as a the Cité de la mode et du design and, all the way in western Paris, the Grande Arche. Be sure to wave to citizenM La Défense while you"re up there.

We"d be so bold as to say citizenM Paris Gare de Lyon is cool enough to rival Paris itself; nobody"s judging if you want to stay with us all day. Yet for times when you do feel like exploring the French capital, you"ll be glad to know some of the best attractions are slap bang on our doorstep.

Bright sparks among you may have guessed that we"re a mere stone"s throw from Gare de Lyon station. Around 90,000,000 people have passed along its platforms each year since it was inaugurated in 1901. Little wonder then that it houses numerous shops, top restaurants and the visitor"s bureau. Alongside the metro, Gare de Lyon connects to southeastern France as well as Switzerland, Italy, Germany and Spain – perfect if, like us, you"ve been bitten by the travel bug.
