Location
The Overlook Lodge is situated on the Riedweg Zermatt, which rises above the Swiss Alpine village on the sunny side of the valley. The train station and village center are easily reached by a lift and a short walk. The Sunnegga cable car is a stone"s throw away, and the public buses offer easy access to the rail station with trains towards Gornergrat as well as Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. Zermatt is considered a snow-safe region and offers skiing, snowboarding, and winter hiking 365 days a year.

The car-free Zermatt is accessible by train with the Glacier Express (parking in Täsch, 5 kilometers away), taxi, or helicopter. The nearest airports are Zurich (250 kilometers, 3 hours 45 minutes) or Geneva (235 kilometers, 2 hours 40 minutes).
