At the heart of the vibrant business metropolis, between the railway terminus and the financial district, one of more than 35 planned NOVUM Hospitality niu hotels is being built. According to current planning, the hotel with 189 rooms is due to open at Niddastrasse 60-62 at the end of 2018. "The capacity on the Frankfurt hotel market has grown over the past few years, as we too have recognised, and that is why we are delighted with the extremely central location. And it won"t stop with just one niu hotel in Frankfurt," reveals David Etmenan, CEO and owner of NOVUM Hospitality. NOVUM has partnered up with Commerz Real, as the proprietor, as well as GOLD.STEIN real estate M+E GmbH & Co.KG, as the project developer, for this project. The purchase was structured by Commerz Real as an asset deal in the form of a forward funding project.

niu Charly reflects the exciting mix of the metropolis on the River Main with casual nonchalance: the bank-dominated skyline, historical charm and the alternative, multicultural spirit of the station district all come together in this hotel. Functionality and design go hand in hand at the niu Charly: true to the motto "form follows function", city landmarks have been purposefully integrated in order to welcome guests in and take them on a unique adventure. The open-plan "living lobby" offers a relaxing living room atmosphere in the Frankfurt style: here, the cosy leather sofas and chairs, dark wood, local cider and other traditional beverages invite the visitor to sit down and relax. In contrast to this Frankfurt cosiness, typical skyscraper features such as steel, reflective surfaces and metal offer sober functionality in the smart rooms. The technology here is futuristic too, from USB ports and ultra-fast WiFi to an Instagram wall, globetrotters and business travellers lack for nothing here! The nickname "Charly" is a reference to Karlsplatz square, which is literally on the hotel"s doorstep.
