NOVUM Hospitality and MERKUR Development Holding GmbH have begun work on a third niu hotel in the Fasanenhof district of Stuttgart. 144 hotel rooms and 110 serviced apartments covering a total gross floor area of some 10,500 sqm are currently being created. Completion is scheduled for the autumn of 2019. The project volume amounts to some 30 million Euros.

For the Hamburg-based hotel group, the latest "niu Mesh" is the third niu project in Stuttgart, and, in addition to the projects in the Pragsattel and Esslingen districts of Stuttgart, the third development in cooperation with MERKUR.

The name "Fasanenhof" comes from Duke Eberhard Ludwig von Württemberg, who built a pheasantry at the current site in 1730. Completely at contrast with hotels housed in old hunting lodges and castles, the "niu Mesh" will interpret the subject differently throughout the hotel, using modern resources and Asian influences. The influence of the eponymous word "mesh" will be seen to extend throughout the entire cubic structure, matching the surface feel of the interior, right down to the extraordinary interior itself. Mesh-like elements in the lobby, feather-like motifs in the rooms fitted with state-of-the-art technology, and a natural stone look in the bar area will revive the pheasantry concept and interpret it in a unique and urban manner.

The hotel aims to attract the custom of globetrotters and business travellers alike. Besides offering guests the exceptional design of a fully networked open-plan Living Lobby, it will also offer smart amenities, such as a self-check-in app for the rooms, and sophisticated F&B offerings and events, in a relaxed atmosphere.

The location is ideal, due to its proximity to the Messe Stuttgart exhibition and trade fair centre and the airport. The hotel will be easy to reach by subway and car (from the A8 motorway nearby).
