TRYP by Wyndham, Wyndham Hotel Group"s urban lifestyle brand, announces its next U.S. destination: a transformed former school building in Pittsburgh"s Lawrenceville neighborhood –recently dubbed "America"s Coolest Neighborhood" by Money Magazine.

TRYP by Wyndham hotels celebrate the spirit of the urban traveler in the heart of the world"s most alluring cities. Hotels are infused with local spirit allowing guests to uncover each destination"s individual culture and TRYP by Wyndham Pittsburgh/Lawrenceville is no exception: creative adaptive re-use of a former school building, the hotel will convey the spirit of Lawrenceville through design, local art and true neighborhood dining.

TRYP by Wyndham Pittsburgh/Lawrenceville will occupy the building of a former vocational school in the center of Lawrenceville. Building on the creative space and central location, the hotel"s design will celebrate the nearby community incorporating the work of local artists and designers. In addition to more than 2,000 square feet of meeting and event space, the hotel will feature a street-level restaurant and rooftop patio dining through collaborations with local chefs.

The 108-room hotel is being developed by the Century Group, a hospitality development company which owns and operates nine hotels across West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio including several Wyndham Hotel Group brands, and will be designed by Pittsburgh firm Desmone Architects. The hotel is expected to open in early 2019.
