Meliá Hotels International continues to extend its presence and global leadership in the resort hotel business with the opening of new markets. The latest example is the recent addition of a new hotel on the Adriatic coast of Montenegro, a destination currently enjoying a tourism boom, allowing the company to strengthen its already dominant position in the Mediterranean.

The hotel will be operated under the Meliá Hotels & Resorts brand and is located in the municipality of Budva, an ancient city on the Adriatic founded by the Greeks in the 5th century and often compared to the popular city of Dubrovnik. Budva is not only one of the greatest cultural attractions in the country, it also boasts some of the best beaches in Montenegro, including the famous turquoise waters of Petrovac, a booming family tourism destination and home to the future Meliá Budva, scheduled to open this summer.

The popularity of the destination has also grown over recent times thanks to an increase in leisure activities, sports, restaurants and nightlife, making the resort a Mediterranean holiday paradise.

Meliá Budva is one of the new hotels in Petrovac and will provide 114 rooms, swimming pools, sundecks, children's club, various dining options and The Level service, an attribute of the Meliá brand which features superior rooms and a range of exclusive services for guests seeking a more premium experience.
