ITC Ltd. announced the opening of ITC Royal Bengal in Kolkata this week, its 14th Luxury Collection hotel. The 30-story, 456-key property pays tribute to the timeless traditions and royal heritage of Bengal through its architecture and design. Built with an investment of approximately USD$200 million (Rs 1400 crore), the ITC Royal Bengal will redefine Kolkata's hospitality landscape making it a preferred destination for luxury business and leisure travelers in addition to the global MICE market. 

Conveniently located in the business district of Kolkata, the ITC Royal Bengal has 374 rooms and suites, 82 serviced apartments, five restaurants, 61,000 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting and convention spaces and a 24,000 square-foot Kaya Kalp - The Royal Spa. The hotel celebrates the spirit of Bengal and the unique fervour of its people through its premium offerings.

The ITC Royal Bengal will redefine Kolkata's hospitality landscape making it a preferred destination for global MICE tourism and other large events. The new property holds a sprawling 16,400 square-foot ballroom, with pre-function areas and an attached outer courtyard that adds 33,000 square feet of venue space. The exquisite lobby spaces and lawns, totaling 61,000 square feet, are ideal for events, offering versatile banquet options for both business meetings and social celebrations.

A distinct feature of the ITC Royal Bengal is the property's proximity to the ITC Sonar, which together will be the region's largest hospitality and MICE destination.
