Located in downtown Mexico City, the home of the National Palace and where pre-Hispanic ruins rub shoulders with the oldest cathedral in the Americas, Círculo Mexicano is a veritable celebration of contemporary Mexico. Conceived by Grupo Habita in a collaboration with a wealth of top Mexican talent from the worlds of food, fashion, and design, Círculo Mexicano is a cultural haven in the heart of Mexico City.

Grupo Habita has been leading a design revolution in Mexico's hospitality industry since 2000 and Círculo Mexicano is the group's 12th property, one that will further cement Originals Carlos Couturier and Moises Micha's reputations as industry trailblazers. Here, Grupo Habita has reimagined a 19th century residential building, which houses a modern ground floor marketplace, 18 guestrooms and seven suites. Crowning the property is a rooftop bar and restaurant, combining al fresco dining with sweeping vistas of the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Palace, and the Templo Mayor for a fully rounded view of the city.

Architecture studio Ambrosi Etchegaray were tasked to recreate the feel of the neighbourhood's typical patio house and "vecindad", (a property with several units). A central courtyard sits at the heart of the hotel, with guests accessing rooms via their own private patio into sleek, well-designed spaces. Rooms are outfitted in the same quarry and basalt stone seen throughout the hotel, and complemented by the use of light ash wood and custom-crafted furniture by leading Mexican design studio La Metropolitana. As a signature element of Grupo Habita, art and culture reigns supreme and takes its main cues from the address of the property itself where the nation's most celebrated photographer, Manuel Álvarez Bravo (1902 - 2002), was born and spent his formative years. As such, a selected number of works by Bravo are exhibited throughout the hotel rooms and public areas.
