Omni Las Colinas Hotel, formerly Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas, has announced the completion of a $13 million renovation to various common space amenities including The Lakehouse Waterfront Lounge, a luxurious and spacious new resort-style poolscape and lounge area, as well as three new dining concepts including LRH Restaurant & Bar; Flossie's; and Over the Counter.

The transformed spaces provide a fresh, elevated guest experience incorporating a new name to match the refreshed contemporary design elements seen throughout the common areas. The goal of the renovation was to elevate the hotel as a destination within the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Beautiful design updates include brass accents and neutral tones that represent the strong Texan culture.

Property renovations include the following:

  • The Lakehouse Waterfront Lounge & Pool Deck:
The Lakehouse Waterfront Lounge at Omni Las Colinas hotel will be the place to see and be seen in the heart of the hotel's brand new poolscape. The bar is sophisticated and fun, approachable and easygoing. Featuring bar seating, poolside dining and more, The Lakehouse is sure to be the hangout for locals and travelers alike. The lounge space features three fire pits, multiple TVs and fans to keep guests cool for the ultimate outdoor entertainment experience.

Inspired by the modern Texas influence that is embedded in the community, the new poolscape features a resort-style pool with 161 chaise lounge chairs, sweeping views of Lake Carolyn, daybeds, private cabanas, a "secret garden,", multiple yard games, tree swings and more. Plus, a new private 10,700 square-foot outdoor event space provides attendees with a beautiful, state-of-the-art outdoor setting. The pool area and bar are currently open to the public.

  • LRH Restaurant & Bar:
LRH, which stands for "Little Ranch of the Hills or El Ranchito de Las Colinas," pays homage to the long-lasting legacy of Ben Carpenter, the historical cattle rancher who developed the Las Colinas area in 1972. The new lobby bar and restaurant is a large and welcoming focal point as guests enter the hotel. Contemporary design elements are seen throughout the space and are complemented with accents of quartz and brass all while mixed with a palate of neutral tones. The menu boasts craft cocktails and local brews along with Texas-inspired dishes served up with a unique twist. For a more relaxed and intimate setting, the lounge space, separated with a unique, antique mirror, is a perfect nook to enjoy drinks and light bites.
  • Flossie's:
Like LRH, Flossie's name is also a nod to the Las Colinas history as Flossie was the name of Ben Carpenter's mother. The restaurant, which was formerly Trevi's, will be offering breakfast daily. With its relaxed and casual setting it can be transformed for various private events throughout the day. Flossie's menu features simplistic shareable plates and healthy fare such as breakfast bowls and overnight oats. Each dish is elevated by farm fresh ingredients, local meats and traditional Texas seasoning to heighten the flavor of any meal. Like its menu, the design of the space draws inspiration from Texas culture, incorporating earth tones to for a calming environment for eating, meeting or working.
  • Over the Counter (OTC):
As the first Over the Counter concept to roll out across the Omni brand, OTC at Omni Las Colinas Hotel is an upscale, gourmet market offering a variety of branded food snacks, assorted bottled beverages, hand--crafted coffee and espresso drinks. Guests can either sit or stand for a quick snack or grab a freshly prepared baked good, sandwich, salad or pastry to-go. OTC will also feature a selection of carefully curated local products available for purchase, including a variety of high-end, Texas centric items like cook books written by Dallas-area authors, candles and apparel. The clean and fresh design of OTC mimics the clean eating offerings served fresh or prepackaged. The light and airy space is complemented with bands of black and white penny tiles, matte black and satin brass metals, and solid oak cabinetry.
