Hotel Viking, a historic property in Newport, RI managed by Pivot Hotels & Resorts, has unveiled extensive renovations to its 13,610 square feet of meeting and event spaces, destination Spa Fjör, modern fitness center and indoor lap pool. The renovations focused on modernizing design elements and reimagining spaces to more intentionally cater to today's traveler. Updates include refurbished meeting and event facilities; transformed spa treatment rooms, public spaces and amenities; and new pool and fitness equipment for improved aesthetic and function.

Led by White Space Designs, Hotel Viking's meeting and event spaces have been revamped to reflect the property's historic elegance and nautical New England setting. The renovations echo the sophisticated tone seen throughout the rest of the property as part of the larger transformation over the last three years, which encompassed a refresh of all public spaces and guestrooms.

The 208-room property's conference rooms and larger event spaces received new carpeting, drapery, wall coverings and lighting. Additionally, the outdoor courtyard has been expanded to increase capacity for alfresco functions. In total, there is more than 3,000 sq. ft. of outdoor event space, including Top of Newport rooftop bar and on-site restaurant One Bellevue's garden patio.

Hotel Viking's Spa Fjör has also undergone significant renovations to now feature six treatment rooms and an expanded relaxation room with an impressive centerpiece, a 12' x 7' Himalayan sea salt wall, which is believed to have healing powers for the mind, body and spirit. In addition to introducing innovative design elements, Spa Fjör is offering unique new treatments such as a signature CBD infused treatment called the "Spa Fjör Synergy Massage," an 80-minute experience that combines the ancient art of cupping, Lomi Lomi massage, Thai stretching and Sound Therapy with tuning forks.

This fall Spa Fjör will also offer spa memberships, ideal for local relaxation seekers. Additionally, new services will be introduced, such as acupuncture and Sound Therapy with Tibetan bowls, a practice dating back thousands of years that supports meditative and peaceful states and clarify of mind.

Hotel Viking's remodeled indoor pool now offers an oasis of relaxation and tranquility all year round, with three new spacious cabanas available for reservation. The pool has transitioned to saline from chlorine, and has been retiled, resurfaced and refinished with new anti-slip decking. Pool facilities, including bathrooms, have also undergone a transformation to feature a modern and sleek, yet practical design. Adjacent to the pool, the property's revamped fitness center now offers state-of-the-art Matrix equipment, and two Peloton bikes.

In celebration of the completed renovations, Hotel Viking is offering groups new wellness-centered breakouts and amenities. Highlights include a "Sound Healing Break," utilizing sound therapy ideal for calming the mind, an "Aroma Journey" breakout in which the group can learn about the benefits of aromatherapy and how to incorporate into their daily life and "Scrubologoy 101," in which the spa's resident Scrubologist will work to create personalized body scrubs for each guest.

Groups can now choose from a variety of Spa Wellness Kits to receive upon arrival, setting the tone for a fun and relaxing visit. For example, the "Facial Rejuvenation Kit," includes various treatments for the face, eyes and lips along with a beauty water enhancer, and hydrating lip balm, the "Head to Toe Repair Kit," which includes a variety of hand and feet masks, body scrubs and hydrating body lotion and the "Lull to Sleep Kit," inclusive of a calming bedtime water enhancer, Restful Sleep bath salts, Chill eye patches and a lavender infused eye pillow.
