Development is growing once again with its fifth waterfront location, the purchase of the South Bay Inn & Suites in Myrtle Beach.

While OTO has built its reputation by developing new hotels in high-barrier-to-entry markets, the company's growth strategy also includes purchasing - and re-purposing - existing assets in prime locations. With a goal of maximizing a property's potential, OTO Development has enhanced hotels through renovations and operational improvements. OTO recently transformed hotels in St. Pete Beach, Key West, and Marathon in the Florida Keys, and will soon begin an extensive renovation of a hotel in Wrightsville Beach, NC.

Built in July 2018, the 18 story, 242-room South Bay Inn & Suites will also have a renovation, preparing for affiliation with Hilton this fall and a rebrand as Homewood Suites Myrtle Beach Oceanfront this winter.

The South Bay Inn & Suites features an indoor waterpark with two slides, a lazy river, and a pool bar, in addition to direct beach access with bike, beach chair, and umbrella rentals. A popular choice for families with young children, the hotel offers spacious rooms and suites with balconies. Over 90% of the guest rooms face the water. A playroom with billiards and ping pong as well as a fitness room round out the recreational offerings.

Guests can enjoy breakfast, dinner, and drinks at the hotel's restaurant and grab snacks and sundries at the onsite market. Walking along the boardwalk provides access to dining and entertainment options galore.
