The seasoned hospitality team behind the highly anticipated hotel The Westin Tempe announced today that the property is nearing completion and is expected to make its debut this August, marking the city's largest new hotel opening in nearly four de cades.

Centrally located within Tempe, Ariz.'s downtown district, the full-service hotel will offer 290 spacious guest rooms and suites as well as a sophisticated ambience that is infused into every aspect of the hotel's design, services and amenities. Envisioned as the quintessential destination for the modern, wellness-focused traveler, the hotel will blend the city's vibrant atmosphere and unique local culture with biophilic design and the brand's signature Wellness at Westin pillars.

Along with approximately 21,000 square feet of exceptional indoor and outdoor event space, the hotel will also encompass three dining concepts including Terra Tempe Kitchen & Spirits, a signature, ground-floor restaurant offering a contemporary take on Southwestern cuisine through the use of local, seasonal ingredients and flavors; Skysill Rooftop Lounge, the Valley's highest open-air rooftop bar and lounge on the 18th floor that boasts its own curated menu of sha reable plates and craft cocktails set against a backdrop of panoramic city and mountain views; and Cup of Joe Market Café, a relaxed, quick-service bistro with grab-and-go options and retail merchandise.

An opening date will be announced in the coming weeks, however guests can pre-book fall stays from August 29 and beyond. The Westin Tempe is located at 11 E. 7th Street in Tempe, ideally situated near numerous major freeways and the Valley Metro Rail, and just five miles from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Directly adjacent to Arizona State University and within walking distance of the historic Mill Avenue District, the hotel is steps away from some of the city's best shopping destinations, culinary offerings, entertainment centers and major local landmarks, including Tempe Town Lake, "A" Mountain (Hayden Butte), and Tempe Beach Park. Guests will also have the option to utilize the brand-new Tempe Streetcar, the first modern streetcar line in the Valley that will connect travelers to major business centers and venues throughout the city upon its completion this year.
