Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) announced today plans to rebrand Grand Hyatt New York in New York City next month to Hyatt Grand Central New York and resume operations of the centrally located property beginning Nov. 1, 2021.

Hyatt Grand Central New York is located at 109 E. 42nd Street, offering a premiere location in the heart of Midtown Manhattan for guests to rest and recharge after exploring all the city has to offer. Just steps away, guests will find world-class dining options, recently re-opened Broadway entertainment, renowned 5th Avenue shopping, and iconic city attractions like the Empire State Building.

Inside, the property features 1,298 inviting guestrooms and suites with glittering city views. The Market will help satisfy cravings with grab-and-go snacks and meals, and at the hotel's 24/7 state-of-the-art fitness center, guests can maintain their fitness routine while away from home with Technogym® and Precor® cardio equipment and free weights. Hyatt Grand Central New York will offer distinctive member benefits through the World of Hyatt program, where it will participate in award Category 5, allowing members to earn and redeem points that can be used toward free nights, upgrades, experiences and more.

RXR Realty and TF Cornerstone plan to redevelop the property, creating an iconic 2+-million-square-foot mixed-use development, including a new luxury hotel, world-class office and retail space, new public open space and dramatic improvements to the public transportation infrastructure in the Grand Central Terminal transit complex. At this time, the plan is that the hotel would close for such redevelopment no earlier than 2023.
