Hotel in the heart of Indianapolis transforms spaces and introduces new offerings - including the largest television screen in the city - to enhance guest experience.

The Westin Indianapolis announces the completion of an extensive multi-million dollar property-wide renovation by the end of July to transform the hotel's public spaces and meeting venues, a redesign of all guest rooms and the debut of new dining venues and additional event space. Operated by Davidson Hotels, the 574-room hotel is located in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, with direct skyway access to the convention center, and acts as a gateway to this diverse and vibrant American city for transient and business travelers alike.

The renovation features a full lobby redesign, overhaul of the property's 42,500 square feet of meeting and event spaces, as well as the addition of a new dining outlet, Ten Hands Social Bar & Eatery. The renovations were designed by C+TC Design Studio and pay homage to Indianapolis as the crossroads of America, bringing people together from coast to coast and continually transforming with each new visitor. Design elements display this concept of convergence through gathering spaces that energize and enable quiet respites to unwind.

Lobby, Food + Beverage

Guests are welcomed by a brand-new lobby design that mimics Indianapolis' lush outdoor spaces and rich greenery. The art installations play off the organic shapes of the city's nature and are positioned in a way to make it feel as if they are moving with the pace of the wind. A prominent vertical garden brightens the space and is reminiscent of the fields beyond the city, while infused wood accents pay tribute to the crossroads element.

Ten Hands Social Bar & Eatery, the new bar & restaurant, features a modern yet retro style and debuts the largest television screen in the city, made up of 27 screens measuring 6 feet tall and 34 feet long. An ideal social environment for events or gathering hub for locals, Ten Hands Social Bar & Eatery welcomes guests and locals alike and provides an outdoor patio overlooking the State Capitol Building. Ten Hands Market, a carryout outlet, recently opened and offers guests the option of a quick meal before they venture out to explore the city.

Meetings + Events

The hotel debuts fully upgraded meeting and event spaces with décor that speaks to the landscape and history of Indianapolis through greys, neutrals, saturated rusts and blues, inspired by the city in the fall. The carpet and lighting showcases intersecting lines to portray Indianapolis' White River flowing through the downtown cityscape, blackened metal embellishments evocative of the railroad tracks that converged in Indianapolis at the first Union Station and overhead lighting inspired by Indiana's agriculture of corn. Groups will have access to the hotel's dedicated onsite meeting specialists and audio-visual technicians and can find an additional 750,000 square feet of space at the adjacent Indiana Convention Center, easily accessible by way of the connected skywalk.

The property is thrilled to unveil a brand-new 3,500 square foot event space: Capitol Overlook. Located on the hotel's second level, the space offers unrivaled, panoramic views of the Indiana State Capitol, unlike any other location in the city. A brand-new Club Lounge designed to meet the needs of all travelers will also be opening its doors mid-August 2022. The Club Lounge design is influenced by the destination's renowned millwork and corn agriculture, and will display neutral colors combined with husk-like materials used throughout the artwork and accent ceiling design.

Guestrooms

The renovation is complete with a full restoration of all guest rooms. All of the hotel's bathrooms were expanded in size with 70 percent now offering large walk-in showers. The rooms continue the crossroads story with accent wallcoverings and area rugs inspired by the biophilic nature of the cornfields and light-colored wood accompaniments to further the agricultural tie. The design all comes together with the corridor carpets evoking the feeling of blowing in the Indianapolis wind.

The Westin Indianapolis and the adjoining 3-story Indiana Convention Center are centrally located in the heart of the city steps away from premier shopping, dining and entertainment hubs, including Lucas Oil Stadium, Banker's Life Fieldhouse and The Indianapolis Zoo.
