New mercure will open in Khiva, AN ancient city in Uzbekistan, in 2025.

Accor, a world leading hospitality group, announces the signing of a cooperation agreement with SRG Projects LLC to build a new Mercure in Khiva in Uzbekistan by 2025. The hotel with 146 rooms will be located on the territory of the former Mevaston mahalla and harmoniously fit into the city's ancient architectural ensemble thanks to its authentic design, which represents the brand's philosophy "Locally Inspired".

Khiva is one of the oldest cities in the world, founded over 2,500 years ago. It was the center of education, science and culture and was known as a "cradle of civilizations" for thousands of years.

Located in close proximity to Itchan Kala, the inner town of the old Khiva oasis, the new Mercure Khiva will benefit from its convenient location in the heart of Khiva with the Urgench Airport within a 30-minute drive and train station in a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, the Old Town of Itchan Kala covers an area of 22 hectares with 2 royal palaces, 27 madrassahs, a large Juma Mosque, many small mosques, mausoleums, a bazaar, a caravanserai, hammams, administrative and residential buildings. The city walls of Itchan Kala are particularly noteworthy: they are more than 2 meters long, 12 meters high and 5-6 meters thick. Today, the travellers have the opportunity to climb the walls from the North gate and enjoy the stunning view.

The two-storey Mercure Khiva will offer 146 comfortable rooms, elegantly designed and inspired by local culture. The hotel's infrastructure will include a wellness centre with a swimming pool, a modern gym as well as a restaurant, a cafe and conference rooms for business events. Hotel guests will enjoy the benefits of the ALL - Accor Live Limitless lifestyle loyalty programme with a range of rewards, services and new experiences.

Mercure in Khiva is scheduled to open in 2025.
