Just in time for summer road trip season, Americana Motor Hotel will soon reopen in Flagstaff, AZ, following an extensive renovation and rebrand by Practice Hospitality. Built in 1962 and reopening in late spring 2023, Americana Motor Hotel is a launchpad for adventure in Northern Arizona. Located on the iconic Route 66 and in the world's first Dark Sky city, the retro-futuristic oasis is reimagining the classic roadside retreat.

What travelers and road trippers can expect from the new property:

  • RETRO-FUTURISTIC DESIGN: Designed by Andrew Alford, former Chief Creative Officer of Graduate Hotels, the reimagined Americana Motor Hotel draws inspiration from the region's deep ties to astronomy, surrounding nature and an idyllic, yet nostalgic vision of the future. The inn will welcome travelers with 89 artful rooms and a vibrant design that celebrates utopian optimism with colorful touches, from geometric carpets to in-room disco balls, and captivating focal points like lobby walls that change from warm desert shades to the deep hues of a night sky depending on which way guests walk through the space.
  • ROADSIDE OASIS: On-property amenities include "dive-in" movies in the year-round heated pool, bikes to venture around town, an expansive backyard with firepits, games and telescopes to explore the star-spangled sky. Guests can fuel up after a day of adventure at Far Out Food, the property's walk-up dining concept serving burgers, fries and ice cream.
  • BASECAMP FOR ADVENTURE: Whether visiting the Grand Canyon, Sunset Crater Volcano, the ancient pueblos of Wupatki, or one of Northern Arizona's world-class outdoor destinations, Americana Motor Hotel equips Route 66 wanderers to experience the "City of Seven Wonders" and provides a welcome respite following a day of activity.
