Guy Hutchinson Born in Caracas Venezuela to a British father and French Mauritian mother, Guy was raised and educated in South Africa. He started his 20 year career in hospitality in London, where he embarked on the prestigious Graduate Management Programme developed by Trusthouseforte Hotels. The programme led to management positions with Forte Hotels, at properties such as the Waldorf (London), The Queens Hotel Cheltenham and the world famous Brown’s Hotel in London. In 1997, Guy joined Hilton Hotels Corporation as Director of Business Development at the Hilton Amsterdam, a property undergoing a US$45 million renovation. In 2000 he was appointed as Hotel Manager of the Hilton Dubai Creek, a 154-room boutique hotel under development in the United Arab Emirates. There he oversaw the construction, launch and operations of the hotel and introduced the award winning restaurant, Verre, part of a unique collaboration with Gordon Ramsay, London’s Michelin three-star chef.
