Duncan Palmer has been appointed Managing Director at The Langham in Hong Kong
In addition to this capacity, Mr. Palmer will also assume the role of Vice President, Design – The Langham Brand for LHI. With a distinguished career of 30 years in the hotel industry, Mr. Palmer will continue to lead the repositioning of The Langham, Hong Kong and take the only member of The Leading Hotels of the World in Hong Kong to the next level in terms of operational excellence, world-class brand management and innovative marketing initiatives. In his role of Vice President – Design, Mr. Palmer will oversee the planning and interior design of all major refurbishments of existing and new properties under The Langham brand, ensuring that our promise of enchanting hospitality is delivered through the physical design of the properties. British-born, Mr. Palmer has enjoyed an exceptional track record in senior hotel management positions for luxury hotels in United Kingdom, Middle East and Asia, including Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines and Macau. Mr. Palmer was General Manager of The Savoy, London and The Connaught, London for 8 years and prior to that, he spent 12 years with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.
