Bernhard Bohnenberger has been appointed Honorary Advisor to the President of the Senate of Thailand at Six Senses Hotels, Resorts and Spas

In an unprecedented step by the current administration, Bernhard Bohnenberger is the first foreigner appointed as an Honorary Advisor to the President of the Senate of Thailand. As a member of an elite panel, he may be called upon to advise Professor Prasobsook Boondech – President of the Senate, on all matters relating to high-end tourism, which is a focus for the country’s important inbound leisure sector. With more than seventeen years as a resident of Thailand, Bohnenberger is currently the Managing Director of Bangkok-based Six Senses Resorts & Spas, a company about to open its seventh property in Thailand. The company recently opened their first Destination Spa in Phuket, building upon many years as a global leader with the Six Senses Spa brand, and supporting the Thai tourism direction to enhance the health-related inbound niche market. Bohnenberger has been a guiding force with the innovative Six Senses group since its inception. During this time the company has grown to be a major employer in the tourism sector, with the upcoming opening of a Soneva property on the island of Kood commanding the highest rates in the region.
