Walid Kanaan has been appointed General Manager at InterContinental Mzaar Lebanon Mountain Resort and Spa in Beirut
With over 18 years experience in the hospitality industry Kanaan, who holds a degree in Hotel Management & Tourism from Switzerland, steps into his challenging new role following his previous position as General Manager at the Holiday Inn Salmiya Kuwait. Kanaan worked in some key hotels in the UAE and Morocco before joining IHG in 2001 at one of its flagship properties, InterContinental Phoenicia Beirut, IHG’s first property in the Middle East that has grown to be a national landmark. He has also worked at InterContinental Doha, in Qatar. Kanaan will oversee all operations of the 131-room property, is an ideally located Resort & Spa set in the mountains of Mzaar at an altitude of 2000m and only an hour away from Beirut international airport.
