David KopacIn his new role, David will execute Shaner Hotel's eCommerce strategy at the corporate and hotel level and ensure that each individual hotel is aligned with brand eCommerce strategies for the Marriott, Hilton, IHG and Independent Hotels owned and managed by Shaner. He will initiate acquisition and retention marketing efforts designed to drive website traffic and sales, which include third party e-channels, paid and organic search, email marketing, online banner ads, affiliate marketing initiatives and defined social media outlets to maximize revenue opportunities and increase profitability. David brings a strong background in marketing and communications to this new role at Shaner. He has over eight years of diverse work experience and earned his B.A. in Communications from Penn State University. Most recently, he served as Marketing Manager for Hersha Hospitality Management where he managed the marketing efforts for 64 hotels in the Northeast U.S. David developed Internet marketing strategies including monthly e-mail blasts, search engine optimization and pay-per-click advertising.
