Jan Petter EilertsenBased in Riga, Eilertsen will be responsible for the operational business of all Rezidor properties in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, and report to Tom Flanagan, Area Vice President for Eastern Europe. Rezidor created Eilertsen’s new position in the context of a recent portfolio deal in the Baltics – the group has signed a management agreement with the real estate developer Linstow for 10 Reval hotels with a total of 2,367 rooms in the Baltics and Russia. On June 1, 2010 Rezidor will re-brand 9 properties in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia as well as 1 property in St. Petersburg as Radisson Blu and Park Inn hotels. Eilertsen, who is Norwegian, joined Rezidor in 1984 and has an extensive background in the international hospitality industry. His career with Rezidor started at the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel in Bergen, Norway, where he held various positions before being promoted to Assistant Manager in 1987. In the following years he held the position of Rooms Division Manager at the Radisson SAS Hotel in Luleå, Sweden and at the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel in Stavanger, Norway, where he later was promoted to Executive Assistant Manager. In 1993, he transferred to the Radisson SAS Hotel in Beijing, China as Rooms Division Manager and was promoted to Executive Assistant Manager in 1994. Two years later, he took on his first General Manager’s position at the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark. In 1999, Eilertsen left the company to take on the position of Vice President Onboard Operations of Fjord Line in Norway and took on the role of Vice President of the Line and Passenger Division of the Company six year later. He returned to Rezidor as General Manager of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Safat, Kuwait in July 2006, which was his most recent position.
