Peter van Peborgh-GoochAn English national born in 1968, Peter started his hospitality career in 1987 with the Savoy Group PLC in London, after he graduated from Oxford Brookes University, where he obtained Fellowship of the Institute of Hospitality. Peter has over 20 years of experience in the hotel industry, in both operations and business development, with leading international brands in Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. He spent 5 years in Regional Sales and Marketing with the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company LLC based in London, UK, 7 years with IHG in UK, the Middle East and latterly China, where he was part of the opening team at the InterContinental in Qingdao; which hosted the Olympic sailing events in 2008. In 2009, he was appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing of Rocco Forte Collection’s, Le Richemond Geneva, where he was responsible for Sales, Marketing, Public Relations, Catering Sales and Revenue /Reservations department until his recent appointment here in Tokyo, Japan. As a Director of Business Development, Peter will assume responsibility for managing Sales, Revenue & Reservations and Marketing departments at the Hilton Tokyo, Japan’s flagship hotel – which was the first international chain hotel in Japan. With 815 guest rooms, 8 restaurants & bars and 15 banqueting rooms, Hilton Tokyo has recently completed its three-year multimillion dollar refurbishment and continues to be a leading upscale hotel in the Japanese capital.
