Olivier HarnischFrom January 2011 Olivier Harnisch, Vice President International Operations Germany & Switzerland of Hilton Worldwide will be in charge of 27 hotels of four brands in eight countries. Under his leadership Hilton Worldwide will see some exciting development in Germany over the next two years. The introduction of the luxury brand Waldorf Astoria in Berlin, the positioning of the economy brand Hampton by Hilton, also in Berlin and the opening of two hotels within THE SQUAIRE - Hilton Frankfurt Airport and Hilton Garden Inn Frankfurt Airport. Olivier Harnisch, MBA, MSc, CHA, currently holds the position of Vice President International Operations Germany & Switzerland. He began his career in 1986 as Commis de Rang at the world famous Hôtel Negresco in Nice, France. In 1999 he joined Hilton as Director of Operations at the Hilton Dresden. In 2001 he was promoted to General Manager at the Hilton Madagaskar, followed by Hilton Zurich Airport, as Cluster General Manager he was then in charge of both Hilton Hotels in Munich. He has worked on four continents and speaks six languages. Olivier Harnisch holds a Hotel Management Degree from the Berlin School of Hotel Administration, an MBA from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, an MSc Degree in Organizational Behaviour from the University of London as well as a Certificate in Hotel Real Estate Management from Cornell University. Olivier Harnisch has also been awarded the designation of “Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA)” by the American Hotel and Lodging Association. He is an enthusiastic airplane pilot and lives with his wife and two children in Wiesbaden.
