Colman ConneelyVeteran hotelier Colman Conneely has joined Davidson Hotel Company, one of the nation’s largest independent management companies, as general manager of the newest member of its growing portfolio: Marriott Teaneck at Glenpointe Hotel. With 23 years in general manager positions, Conneely joins Davidson after 20 years with San Francisco-based Stanford Hotels Corp. Conneely’s most recent post was a five-year tenure as regional vice president, general manager of Hilton Charlotte Center City in Charlotte, North Carolina. Here, he oversaw the AAA Four-Diamond, 400-room hotel that specializes in serving the meetings and convention market. Prior to that, he served the same position with the Sheraton Gateway Hotel, and, earlier, with the Crowne Plaza Hotel in San Francisco. Before joining Stanford Hotels, Conneely spent 15 years with Hyatt Corp. in management positions in California, New York, Ohio and Chicago. Earlier career experience included positions with prominent hotels in London, Paris and in his native Ireland. An honors graduate from St. Mary’s College in Galway, Ireland, Conneely completed the General Managers Program at Cornell University School of Hotel Administration as well as General Manager Certification programs from Hilton Corp., Starwood Corp. and Holiday Inn Corp.
