Thomas Aistleitner On February 2nd, the Supervisory Board of Vienna International Hotelmanagement AG (VI) decided to part ways with Management Board Chairman Rudolf Tucek at an extraordinary meeting. Mr. Tucek is therefore immediately relieved of his duties for VI. After many years of fruitful collaboration in which Rudolf Tucek constantly pushed VI forward and shaped both the company and the hotel industry in Austria, there were several incidents that led the Supervisory Board to this step to ensure the further positive development of the company. The Supervisory Board wishes to express the importance of maintaining and reestablishing an open and respectful corporate culture both internally and externally. Our company’s management must always represent a positive example, particularly as a hotel operator, whose main priority is the well-being of our guests. Thomas Aistleitner will take over as the interim manager and Chairman of the Management Board for the next six months. He will be responsible for heading up Austria’s largest hotel management company with a total of 34 first-class hotels and resorts in nine European countries. As the long-time chairman of the management board of the Bank Austria Leasing group and later on as an independent corporate consultant, Thomas Aistleitner has the managerial experience and expertise to lead VI during the next months, and he will simultaneously initiate and conduct the search for a suitable new chairman of the Management Board.
